The campaign to end loneliness highlights the impact of senior isolation. This man spent one week totally alone to show what it is like for older adults who lose their connection to the outside world.
Thank you for raising awareness, Mark. What I find sad are people who live alone - no nearby family or friends - that do everything on their own. For instance, they eat alone in a coffee shop surrounded by people who are not alone.
At least when they go to a coffee shop, there is an opportunity for lonely people to connect with other people, especially if they are regulars at the coffee shop.
More and more people are living alone this is why technology is so important and can play an important role in breaking the cycle of isolation.
Or perhaps a pet may help.
